While democrats would love to think one of the most conservative Representatives in the House declined to support a Constitutional measure permanently preventing an income tax, the vote was immediately corrected and is emblazoned in the House Permanent Journal. Like the Starkist commercial goes, “Sorry Charlie.” A no-tax pledge is the only pledge I will take.

Pictured below is John filling out a vote correction form. The forms are only given out by the House Clerk when a mistaken vote needs to be corrected. The vote was actually on a floor amendment that preceded the actual vote on CACR12, the Constitutional Amendment, which did not secure the 2/3 requirement to pass.
