This is not a difficult subject. As far as I am concerned, anyone who argues that New Hampshire voting should not require proper identification to vote simply lacks common sense. Is it a burden to secure ANY government issued ID that would be acceptable to vote? In my common sense opinion, absolutely not. I will always fully support a simple, common sense law that requires an official ID to be eligible to cast a vote, whether in person or to secure and submit an official absentee ballot, in the Granite State. That’s three times I have used the words “Common Sense.” As your elected representative in Concord, I will always vote for common sense, including requiring an official ID to vote.
